Coffee Cats tell-tails....

We have noticed that the humans have entered their annual phase of “improving things that were purr-fectly fine as they were.” They call it “Spring Cleaning.”

First, they turned their attention to our beloved quirky staircase and gave it a fresh lick of paint. We were informed -quite rudely that our days of clawing and “adding texture” to the carpet are numbered. We’re not making any promises!

Then came the upstairs doors. Painting them apparently required us to be “temporarily confined.” We handled it with our usual grace. Well… most of us. Skuld and Urdi were not entirely convinced when the sander began its rather dramatic shrieking.

As if that weren’t enough, it’s also peak fur‑shedding season and unusually, the painter did not seem especially appurr-eciative of our generous contributions to the atmosphere. We found this a bit su-purr-sing.

When he returned the following week to tackle the flaky paint on the exterior window and door, we were finally able to su-purr-vise properly — from the windowsill, where all important inspections take place.

We watched every brushstroke with great interest and decided he did a purr-fectly acceptable job.

Alfie, Nicky, Ethel, Skuld, Urdi and Verdi
