Number 12 North

Recently we added a framed picture of Larry, the Downing Street Cat, to our collection.

Given his status as the feline counterpart to a national leader, we figured it would be a fitting tribute that everyone would a-purr-ciate.

Here, at Number 12 North we seem to have two distinct parties  :

The Furries - a proud old‑guard party who believe in proper grooming, communal naps, and the right to sit on any chair they choose; and

The Independents - a cool party who believe in aloofness, naps taken strictly on their own schedule, and the right to occupy whichever chair you were about to sit on.

Leading the Furries is Alfie the Great, who has extensive experience in all things related to cats. His Deputy is the matriarch and the true 'Boss Cat,' Nicky. They are sup-paw-ted and adored by Skuld, who is content to follow and agree with whatever they decide.

On the other side of the cat tree we have the Independents, who, as their name suggests, are genuinely independent and cannot agree on anything—especially on who should lead them!

Ethel, being the eldest and wisest, typically takes on the leadership role, while Urdi and Verdi take turns in challenging her decisions. When they can be bothered, they sometimes come together to disrupt whatever the Furries are trying to achieve.

Who would you vote for??
