This month started with Nicky having a vet appointment because of her ongoing teeth and gum issues. Despite all we did, her gums were still super red and irritated!
The vet visit confirmed our worst fears - those troublesome molars had to go!
First, she needed some antibiotics and steroids to get ready for the surgery. Then, she'd have some teeth removed, take some time to recover, and the rest would come out later.
Bless her, she has coped so well with it all.
The treatment went really well! So much so that when we picked her up after the operation, the vet told us they only needed to remove ONE big canine instead of half the teeth they planned to take out!
We're not sure if it was because the vets had different opinions or thanks to the pre-op care, or maybe a bit of both. But fingers crossed it keeps going this way!
